I’m confident that SAT test writers will not use the Avengers to illustrate IMPERATIVE. But they have used IMPERATIVE as a correct answer in a passage about microscopic organisms. It turns out that cyanobacteria are IMPERATIVE for the health of vital estuary ecosystems. GOOO microscopic bacteria!
