In the Avengers: Endgame, the Avengers must find a way to defeat Thanos. Known as the “Mad Titan,” Thanos presents a particularly IMPOSING physical presence. Standing over 8 feet tall, he towers above his human rivals. His powerful muscles, impenetrable armor, and purple-hued skin contribute to his IMPOSING and fearsome appearance.
SAT test writers will probably not use Thanos or any other movie villain to illustrate IMPOSING. Instead, expect to read a description of a large building such as a Muslim mosque, a Hindu temple, or a Gothic cathedral. Remember, IMPOSING will be the answer if the emphasis is upon the building’s impressive and massive size.
