In their hit song “Take a Chance on Me,” ABBA pleas with a reluctant partner to trust the singer and commit to a new relationship. ABBA recognizes that overcoming indecision will require INCENTIVES to encourage the person to “take a chance on me.” Taking an optimistic approach to love and romance, ABBA promises that the new relationship will produce magical moments when they are dancing, walking, and just talking. INCENTIVE is a relatively easy vocabulary word. But this didn’t stop SAT test writers from constructing a challenging vocabulary in context passage testing student’s ability to apply INCENTIVE to an unexpected context. Like the reluctant partner in ABBA’s song, they require INCENTIVES to overcome their fear of the unknown.
