SAT test writers have created clusters of vocabulary in context questions for topics ranging from Pilocene hominids to French kings. But they have yet to develop a set of questions for a popular contemporary musical group. Fortunately, I’m here to help!
As the entire world knows, K-pop phenomenon BTS is back! Here are several possible SAT vocabulary words that help describe BTS’s MOMENTOUS (very important) return:
Back in 2022, BTS reigned as the world’s most popular boy band. But South Korea’s MANDATORY (required) military service forced the band to go on HIATUS (break).
Three years and nine months later, the BTS phenomenon is showing no signs of ABATING (declining in force). On March 21, 2026, over 250,000 EXUBERANT (very happy) fans watched BTW perform a METICULOUSLY (very precise) crafted free concert in historic Gwanghwamun Square in the center of Seoul, South Korea.
The global K-pop JUGGERNAUT (unstoppable force) clearly hasn’t lost a beat.
BTS is already achieving UNPRECEDENTED (never done before) sales records. Arirang, the group’s fifth studio album, sold a record 4 million copies on its opening release day. Spotify reported a record 110 million streams in just 24 hours!
During the next year, BTS will become a UBIQUITOUS (found everywhere) global presence as they launch an already sold-out tour spanning 79 shows in arenas across Asia, North America, Europe, Latin America, and Australia. In RETROSPECT (looking back) Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour was so yesterday!
