Our Substack collection of Winning Words is truly unique. None of the vocabulary words on this site are SUPERFLUOUS or unnecessary. Each word has been a correct answer on a recent vocabulary in context question. Since SAT test writers regularly repeat questions, there is every reason to believe that many of our Winning Words will reappear on upcoming tests. In fact, students are already reporting that we have had a number of direct hits on the March School Days tests!
SAT test writers do not think SUPERFLUOUS is a SUPERFLUOUS word. They have created several vocabulary in context questions stressing that economics and history are not SUPERFLOUS subjects that can be left to specialists. Knowledge of these subjects is essential for an informed citizenry.
SUPERFLUOUS – more than enough and therefore unnecessary
